The 2026 edition of FEMUSC plays a central role in officially launching the commemorative calendar for Jaraguá do Sul’s 150th anniversary—celebrated on July 25—thereby reinforcing the festival’s status as one of the municipality’s key cultural and institutional symbols. More than just an event, FEMUSC marks the start of a full year of celebrations, featuring a monthly schedule that includes cultural and community initiatives as well as significant inaugurations for the city.
“FEMUSC puts Jaraguá do Sul on the map—both nationally and internationally—energizes the city, champions culture, and generates a highly positive impact on our community,” highlighted Mayor Jair Franzner.
The official visit to the festival was also attended by Rodrigo Bornholdt, the Honorary Consul of Germany for Joinville and the surrounding region. Experiencing FEMUSC for the first time, he underscored the event’s international reach and its deep connection to the city’s history and cultural identity. “I followed the festival during its early years and was immediately captivated by everything I saw. Now, seeing the behind-the-scenes work, rehearsals, and classes, the experience only reinforces the importance of culture and community engagement. I leave even more enthusiastic and eager to help bring Germany and FEMUSC closer together,” stated Bornholdt.
