o  Santa Catarina International Music Festival, FEMUSC, ends its 20th edition with the launch of the “Notas que Transformas” podcast. Over 13 episodes with about 30 minutes each, the public can follow unprecedented stories told by teachers, students and directors who marked the trajectory of the festival. As of this Tuesday, (28), the episodes will be published every 15 days on the main audio platforms and in the &NBSP profile; Youtube: (youtube.com/femuscoficial).

The premiere brings the conversation between presenter Caio Mandolesi and teachers Anna Murakawa and Johann Perron. Brazilian violinist Anna Murakawa started at Femusc as a student, at the age of 16, when she was Spala in the first serioso project. Today, a PhD in Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, she became  also a festival teacher. Canadian cellist Johanne Perron has international recognition as an interpreter and educator. In addition to FEMUSC, she has experience teaching at different international festivals and universities.

Caio Mandolesi says that the podcast proposes relaxed and exciting conversations, rescuing remarkable memories and behind-the-scenes details of the festival. “The podcast allows for informal conversations, without a fixed script, where people relax and let memories and emotions flow..

In addition to honoring the two decades of the festival, the podcast is consolidated as a collective record of the event’s history, built from different personal experiences. “Femusc already has a vast collection of filming of shows and journalistic interviews, but the podcast is different.

Each episode always has two respondents, combining from young students to teachers who have followed the festival since its first editions. The season will end with a special interview with conductor Alex Klein, founder and artistic director of Femusc, and Fenísio Pires Jr., executive director of the festival. “The idea was to create a space where stories and experiences could be told spontaneously, with one guest always complementing the other. It’s like pulling a ball: something new and surprising always appears”, explains Caio.
