Works by Mozart and Bethoven are highlights of the 20th FEMUSC program this Wednesday (15)

Presentations will be broadcast live, starting at 7 pm, on the festival’s YouTube channel. Femusc takes place in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina, until January 25

This Wednesday (15), the 20th FEMUSC presents compositions Mozart and Beethoven, within the concert “Revolutionaries”,  which will be presented from 19:00, during O  Springmann Moment,  a  Experimental series of students and teachers who participate in the festival. there will be  Live broadcast on the no  YouTube (youtube.com/institutofemusc).

At the concert, O  Delvinian Quartet, formed by musicians from the Sydney Conservatory of Music,  from Australia,  play  the string quartet in Sol Maior, op.18 No.2, by Beethoven, and then  Havaera will show in Mozart’s Oboes, Horns and Bassoons Fun for Winds K 253, by Mozart.

There will also be the participation of the Chilean Quartet Estela, which  Presents the string quartet n. 8, in C minor by Russian Dmitri Shostakovitch. the work, composed  In 1960, it is dedicated to the victims of war and injustice around the world and one of the most  Famous and appreciated of Shostakovitch, recalls conductor Alex Klein, founder and artistic director of the festival. 

 Masters Piano Series

works by Mozart, Beethoven and also DE  Bach will still be present  in the theme “Perfection”, of the Piano Masters series, which starts at 6 pm on SCAR, the main stage of FEMUSC 2025.  The day’s schedule also includes MPB shows and lyrical singing recitals starting at 7pm.

Last night (14), musicians from the Ladies Ensemble Orchestra performed the concert “Silk Route”. The singer Syrian Lucia Loxca made a special participation in the repertoire, which combined oriental inspirations with the European classical tradition, cultures connected through this historical route.

The show took place as part of the series Grandes Concertos, which takes place every day from 8:30 pm at the Grande Teatro SCAR. The series includes orchestras, opera, chamber music with teachers and remarkable presence works. Today (15), the theme presented will be Chamber Music I, presented by festival teachers.

In the coming days, the program of the series Grande Concertos features the opera Madama Butterfly, Orchestra of Teachers playing Brahms, a tribute to Villa-Lobos, an MPB show with Guinga as a special guest, and the poem “Don Juan”,  by Richard Strauss.

The Great Concerts Series  and Springmann Moment, from FEMUSC 2025, are being broadcast daily  live, at 7 pm, and at 8:30 pm, on the official YouTube channel: Instituto  femusc. 

The concert videos will also be available on the platform after the event, expanding virtual access to the largest classical music festival-school in Latin America.
