Born in Piracicaba-SP, he began his music studies at the age of six, with his mother. Master in Viola from UDK Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts), he studied at the Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra (Germany) with a scholarship from the Vitae Foundation. He works intensely as a recitalist, camerist and soloist, with a repertoire that extends from Bach to contemporary composers. He made Brazilian premieres of important works, such as Concerto para Viola de Krzysztof Penderecki (with the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of S. Paulo, under the regency of László Tihanyi).
Holder of several awards, including: Winner of the Nascente Award III – USP (1993), Carlos Gomes Award (2006), as a member of the Camargo Guarnieri quartet. He was a professor at the Faculty of Arts Alcântara Machado (FAAM) and at Faculdade Cantareira, in S. Paulo. He joined the faculty of the Campos do Jordão Winter Festival from 2002 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011 he worked as pedagogical coordinator for the same festival. He works as a teacher at the festivals of Poços de Caldas-MG, Bagé-RS, Lages-SC, Munasp (SP), Natal-RN, Ouro Branco-MG, João Pessoa-PB, Recife-PE, Maranguape-CE, São Leopoldo-RS, among others.
During his seven-year stay in Germany, he served as a guest violist for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra with whom he recorded several CDs and DVDs, under the regency of Claudio Abbado, Daniel Barenboim, Seiji Ozawa, Günter Wand, Zubin Mehta, Bernard Haitink, Simon Rattle, Nikolaus Harnoncourt among others, in several European cities. He also joined the Ensemble Oriol Berlin, performing concerts in Germany, Mexico, Portugal, with renowned international soloists. He also acted as a guest musician at the Gulbenkian Orchestra (Lisbon / Portugal).
He worked as a pedagogical coordinator at Santa Marcelina Cultura, where he was responsible for the old music nucleus, Ópera Estúdio, Orquestra Jovem do Estado de São Paulo, a young band from the state of São Paulo, a youth choral of the state of São Paulo, as well as from the erudite area of Emesp, Escola Escola of São Paulo State Music – Tom Jobim. He worked as a teacher of viola and temporary violin at USP-Ribeirão Preto (2019).
