Born in Costa Rica, the doctor of music Mario Ulloa has performed in countries such as France, Germany, Austria, England, Holland, Norway, United States (NY, Washington DC, among others), Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, and in the main Brazilian capitals. Graduated in Music from the Escuela de Artes Musical de la Universidade de Costa Rica, Ulloa has participated as a professor and concert artist in several music festivals, inside and outside Brazil.
For his contributions in the areas of education and culture, he received the 2 de Julho medal from the Salvador City Hall and the Salvador City Council for the honorary title of Soteropolitan Citizen.
