Jane Price grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Indiana University and a master’s degree in music from the New England Conservatory. Jane was a member of the Tanglewood Institute, the Norfolk Festival, the Spoleto Festival in Italy and the United States, and spent a year as a member of the New World Symphony.
In addition to being an extra instrumentalist with the Chicago Symphony and the St. Louis Symphony, Mrs. Price performed with the Kansas City Symphony, the Mark Morris Dance Company, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Orchestra of the Tulsa Opera and, more recently, as Spalla of the Iowa Orchestra.
Mrs. Price is a member of the Chamber Project St. Louis, of the Society of Chamber of St. Louis, and performed for several seasons at the Festival of Music (Femusc) in Santa Catarina, Brazil. She is currently a violin teacher at the University of Washington at St. Louis.
