Biografia

Born in Blumenau, Curt Schroeter began his music studies at the age of 7 at the music school in his hometown, in 1971. He always at the same institution continued his studies as a transversal flute under the guidance of Norton Morozowicz. In this period, he was the winner of the most important competitions for the flute in the country, such as: “Young Instrumentalists – Piracicaba”, in 1981 and 1983 (Prêmio de Best Interpreter of Brazilian Music), “Série Valors Novos – 1979, in Rio de Janeiro and “Young Soloists of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra”, in 1984.

In 1985, he transferred to Germany, where in 1987, he obtained his graduation degree from the Higher School of Music of Stuttgart. On the occasion of the competition for the formation of the “Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra” competes with more than 300 candidates from different countries such as the United States (Julliard School, Curtis Institute), England (Royal Academy of Music), France (Higher Conservatory of Paris), Germany (Hochschule of Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Colonia and Munich), obtaining the rank of 1. Flute. He works intensely with the orchestra under the baton of Sergiu Celibidache and Leonard Bernstein, performing concerts throughout Europe. Through a personal invitation from Celibidache returns to work in the 1988 season of the aforementioned festival, touring with concerts in Hamburg, Berlin (Philharmonie), Paris (Pleyel room), Basel and Milano.

This year he moved to Berlin, where he attended the University of Musicology, the Higher School of Music (Pedagogy of Music). At the same time, he attends the music phenomenology course (1988-1989) at the University of Mainz, taught by Maestro Celibidache. This period was marked by a close contact with the work of the Romanian conductor against the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.

Later, he transferred to Italy, taking on the position of 1. Flute of the “Orquestra Symphonic Guido Cantelli” in Milao, where he has also been developing work as a soloist and camerist. In the same period, he has collaborated with the most important Italian orchestras, such as: I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Orchestra Stabile di Bergamo, Orchesta del Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Accademia Filarmonica di Verona, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino and Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice di Venezia.

Curt Schroeter has been developing an intense didactic work in the flutistic and participated in numerous music festivals such as Londrina (1996-1998), Curitiba (1998-2001) and FEMUSC – Jaraguá do South (2007-2022).
