Before joining the Faculty of Music at the University of Oregon in 2006, Alexandre Dossin was a member of the Faculty of the University of Louisiana in Lafayette from 2001 to 2002 and from 2002 to 2006 at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. Dossin’s main professors were Sergei Dorensky at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and William Race and Gregory Allen at the University of Texas at Austin.
In 1997, Dossin was the youngest person to receive the prestigious “Embassador of Rio Grande do Sul” state award in Brazil and, in 1998, was the only student at the University of Texas at the Austin School of Music to receive his diploma. graduate pre-emptive. Brotherhood.
The conductors with whom Dossin performed include Charles Dutoit, Isaac Karabtchevsky and Michael Gielen, with orchestras such as the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, Brazilian National Symphony, Mozarteum University Symphony and Symphony of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Dossin performed several live recitals for public radios in Wisconsin and Illinois, including the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago. Steinway’s artist, Dossin is the vice president of the American Liszt Society and president of his Oregon chapter. Currently the piano area chair, maintains a studio of advanced pianists from various countries and is listed in Whos Who in America and Whos Who Among Americas Teachers.
