Itinerant shows at Femusc land in the municipalities of Timbó and Pomerode, in the Middle Vale Catarinense

FEMUSC (Santa Catarina International Music Festival) continues to spread the emotion of the music wherever it goes. Next week, it will be the turn of the residents of the Middle Vale Catarinense to get to know the atmosphere of the biggest school festival in Latin America. The FEMUSC traveling concerts arrive in the municipalities of Timbó and Pomerode.

The shows take place on January 25, Wednesday, from 7 pm, at the Integrated Culture Center (CIC), in Timbó, and on January 27, Friday, from 7 pm, at the Municipal Theater of Pomerode.

The presentations of the FEMUSC symphonic band will be conducted by conductor Luiz Lenzi. And, among the works performed are Tom Sawyer Suite, a classic of American literature, and, Traffic, by the Austrian composer Thomas Doss. “We are going to bring to the stage classical characters of literature, and also a contemporary language that musically illustrates the complexity of the automobile traffic of the big cities”, explains Lenzi. In total, according to the artist, 35 musicians from different Brazilian states, and also from Mercosur countries, participate in the presentation. Admission is free.

Programming

Considered the largest school festival in Latin America, FEMUSC continues until the 28th, in Jaraguá do Sul. In its 18th edition, the event involves around 800 musicians, coming from 27 countries and 17 Brazilian states. In total, there will be 200 concerts. All presentations have free admission, upon early withdrawal of tickets, and the great shows are broadcast live, in high definition, by the festival’s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/institutofemusc.
