A Beethoven with a more pop style, hand-drawn, and a vibrant yellow light that always guarantees prominence due to the German composer, one of the greatest expressions of world classical music. This is the design of the visual identity of the 20th edition of the Santa Catarina International Music Festival (Femusc) created by the plastic artist Luciano Martins. The brand’s presentation took place on Tuesday (22) at an event held at Centro Cultura Scar, in Jaraguá do Sul.
Luciano created the brand with a look at the playful and in search of dialogue with the new generation, but without forgetting the tradition, a value much appreciated in the classic scenario.
The creative process of Femusc’s new identity considered, according to Luciano, the organizers’ concern for the communication to strengthen the brand and, at the same time, be clean and fluid. For this, the artist sought the color black. “It conveys formality and sophistication while being associated with a sense of mystery, elegance, strength and formality,” he said. Yellow, according to Luciano, fulfills another role. “Color draws attention and attracts reading”.
Bringing Beethoven back to the Femusc identity was also no coincidence. “The composer’s genius is an eternal source of inspiration and represents perseverance, creativity and the indomitable spirit that all young musicians should seek”, says Luciano, who does not hide the excitement with the event of international projection in Jaraguá, the festival’s home city. “Femusc is a beacon of hope and inspiration, guiding young musicians on their journey to the stage and allowing each participant’s own light to shine”.
Visual Arts Artist Luciano Martins is recognized nationally and internationally for hundreds of creations involving the most diverse products and causes. In the same way that he developed a campaign for the Malwee textile (the phrase “hot as a hug” is his) and products such as chocolate (who doesn’t remember the cat Miau da Cacau Show?), Luciano has a side totally focused on the social cause. Last year, the artist founded the Luciano Martins Institute that seeks to connect art to social inclusion.
For conductor Alex Klein, creator and artistic director of Femusc, the artist’s bond to social projects guarantees the synchrony between the festival and the artist. “Femusc has its first mission of giving the opportunity to so many talents often hidden by the lack of access, and this great artist Luciano Martins drinks in this same source”, says Klein.
Considered the largest school festival in Latin America, FEMUSC brings more than 200 presentations completely free for the 2025 edition. Jaraguá do Sul, northeast of the state of Santa Catarina.
