Ksenia Dubrovskaya

Violin teacher and interpreter

Biografia

Ksenia Dubrovskaya is an exceptionally talented and charismatic violinist of the new generation, with a vast repertoire that goes from Baroque to modernity. Recognized for the elegance and precision with which it plays, its performances resonate with a deep connection with the human experience. Through her interpretation, she invites listeners to rediscover the immense beauty and lasting relevance of classical music.

Born in Kolomna, near Moscow, in a family of musicians, Ksenia’s journey began with regional victories, culminating in the triumph in the prestigious Tchaikovsky contest for young musicians.

Her dedication led her to graduate with honors at the Moscow State Conservatory under the tutelage of Professor Irina Bochkova. He subsequently earned the title of Master of Music in Performing Arts from the High School of Music of Zurich, studying with renowned teachers Zakhar Bron and Marc Kissoszy. Ksenia’s passion for chamber music leads her to cross continents, performing alongside luminaries such as Yury Bashmet, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Liana Isakadze, Bruno Canino, Konstantin Lifschitz, Alexander Knyzev, Philippe Graffin, Dariusz Mikulski and Derek Han.

As a soloist, she attracted the attention of world-class orchestras, governed by conductors such as Saulius Sondeckis, Justus Frantz, Shinik Hahm, Jacek Kaspszyk and Helmut Müller-Brühl. Ksenia plays a violin made in Florence by Giovanni Battista Gabrielli in 1770 – the instrument loaned by the Reinhold Würth musical background (Germany) to prominent musicians. With meticulous attention to detail, Ksenia manages to evoke the most subtle feelings of composers and, at the same time, bring out her own reflections on the comedy of life. She is masterful in her portraits of the delicate astonishment and the precious fragility of humanity in the face of the primordial forces of the universe; And yet, of that joy of being alive and being able to experience its wonders.

On stage, her violin is not a third person, as she has the ability to merge so completely with her instrument that, while swaying and swaying together, we don’t know who is ruling who, creating a holy trinity of interpreter, violin and composer, intertwined to enchant our senses. Since 2019, Ksenia is the artistic director of the Finca Festival in Gran Canaria and leads the concert series Ksenia Dubrovskaya & Friends in Künzelsau, Germany. Ksenia is regularly invited to world-famous festivals such as Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, MDR Musiksommer, Der Nationen Bad Wörishofen festival in Germany, Internazionale di Musica Festival and Sacred Art (Vatican), Alba Music Festival, Emilia Romagna Festival (Italy), Ost-West Musikfest and Mirabelle Schloss Festival in Austria, Rencontres Musicales Internationales d’Enghien in Belgium, Contest Gyumri Festival (Armenia) and Ars Long Festival and Homecoming Festival in Moscow.

In addition to the Master Classes, which Ksenia ministers with enthusiasm around the world, she participates in several juries of international musical competitions.
