bass player with extensive experience in orchestral music, chamber music, old music in period instruments and popular music. He played for more than 10 years in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and works as a teacher at several music festivals.
Gustavo D’ippolito played at the USP Symphony Orchestra, was a suit monitor for the experimental repertoire orchestra and in 2005 he moved to Vienna, where he lived for 17 years. He was a member of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, had contracts at the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the Vienna State Opera, was a member of Volksoper and played for over 10 years as a guest musician in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Vienna, conducted by Zubin Metha, Riccardo Muti, Mariss Jansons, Valery Gergiev, Christian Thielemann and many others.
He worked intensely with chamber music, acted in the baroque music scene, in instruments of the time, performed several concerts of contemporary music, “crossover” and popular music. In 2016, he created Seconde, a retreat for music students, with the aim of actively working supporting young people who want to professionally follow the paths of music.
He holds a master’s degree in double bass from the Private University of Music and Art of Vienna, former Conservatory of Vienna. Back in Brazil has developed intense educational activity teaching at music festivals such as the 1st Sesc Paraíba Music Festival, in the city of Areia, the Alegro Jovem Festival, in Curitiba and Femusc, in Jaraguá do Sul. of the Academy Young Musicians in Piracicaba.
