Portuguese tuber, he began his musical studies at the age of 11 with Professor José Vicente Simeo. At 14 he started studying with Professor Eduardo Nogueroles, with whom he graduated from ESMAE obtaining the maximum classification. He also studied in France with the renowned American tuber Mel Culbertson and was regularly his replacement for the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine.
In Portugal, he was part of the Remix contemporary music ensemble, where he performed in several concert halls across Europe. He was a founding professor of the classes at the University of Minho and the University of Aveiro, he also taught at ESMAE. He collaborated with several Portuguese orchestras and with Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra.
Solo, we highlight the presentations with the European Union Wind Orchestra under the regency of Maestro Jan Cober in European tour, with the EPMVC Orchestra and Sinfonietta from Lisbon (Portugal), with Osusp (Brazil) and with the famous Spanish brass quintet. From 2000 to 2013 he maintained a duo with the pianist Youri Popov. He recorded the work for Tuba Solo “Fantasia Sul América” by Cláudio Santoro for the publisher Naxos on the CD “Cláudio Santoro – Fantasias Sul América”.
Residing in Brazil since 2014, he was the winner of the auditions for Tuba Solo of the OSB Orchestras (Rio de Janeiro), OSM (Municipal Theatro de São Paulo) and Osesp (São Paulo) where he currently works. He is a professor at the Academy of Osesp, at the Campos do Jordão Festival and guest professor at the Curitiba Music Workshop.
He holds a master’s degree in Music from the Federal University of Bahia.
