Céline Imbert is a Brazilian lyrical singer, pointed out by critics as one of the greatest Brazilian sopranos of all time.
A psychologist by training, with a specialization in Behavioral Psychiatry, she lived for three years in Mozambique, where she worked as a cooperator in the Mozambican Revolution. Returning to Brazil, he studied singing with Leilah Farah and signed up for the 1st Eldorado Music Competition, in 1985, being among the finalists. In 1987, he acted in his first opera: Carmen de Georges Bizet, at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2000, he won the Carlos Gomes Award in the Women’s Vocal Highlight category.
He played protagonists in operas such as Fosca (Carlos Gomes), Cavalleria Rusticana (Mascagni), Werther (Massenet), Madame Butterfly and Tosca (Puccini), the Bluebeard Castle (Bartók), Tannhäuser and the Valkyrie (Richard Wagner). In 2009, she was invited to participate in the special Elas sing Roberto Carlos, singing from a distance.
In September 2010, she was awarded the commendation of the Order of Ipiranga by the Government of the State of São Paulo.
