String Quartet Program
The String Quartet Program aims to develop string quartets already formed before coming to FEMUSC. Training is done exclusively with members of the Arianna String Quartet. Participating quartets are not involved in orchestras and other chamber music activities other than those developed through this Program. Each quartet receives its own rehearsal room with proper acoustics and air conditioning for extensive study and daily rehearsals.
Period: January 08 to 28, 2023.
Activities include master classes, daily visits by members of the Arianna String Quartet, interaction with other quartets, chamber music by quartets with other instruments (quintets and sextets), and performances at social concerts as well as FEMUSC’s main concert series.
Application: through the website www.femusc.com.br informing:
- Small essay of up to 2000 words
- Link to a competitive recording with up to 10 minutes of music, already posted on sites like Youtube, Vimeo or similar.
- Email from teacher or person able to provide reference
- Biographical data of each member of the quartet
Registration and participation: After analyzing the registrations, the list of selected quartets will be released, which must confirm their registration and participation.
Enrollment cost: according to regulation
Benefits included: participation in classes, rehearsals and concerts, 3 meals a day, internal transport between campuses.
