RULES FOR ENROLLMENT FEMUSC 2020
The 15th Music Festival of Santa Catarina – FEMUSC 2020 – takes place from January 19 until February 1, 2020 in Jaraguá do Sul, SC.
1.1 To apply for FEMUSC 2020, the candidate must access the website www.femusc.com.br, in the FEMUSC 2020 > APPLICATIONS menu, where the candidate will have all the guidelines on how to proceed to enroll, as well as the information necessary for the application, and the vacancies and programs available;
1.2 FEMUSC 2020 registrations will begin on July 1st, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. (Brasília time) and will end on July 31, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. (Brasília time);
1.3 Before applying, read with the utmost care the instructions in the submenu “HOW TO APPLY”
1.4 The disclosure of the LIST OF THE SELECTED will be announced on August 20, 2019, at www.femusc.com.br, in a prominent place. FEMUSC will not communicate via e-mail the actual selection. It is the candidate’s sole responsibility to verify that his / her name is on the LIST OF SELECTED and proceed as instructed in item 2 below;
1.5 If there are any remaining vacancies for any instrument / program, FEMUSC will open new registrations from September 21, 2019 on.
Participants listed in the Selection List to register, must pay the enrollment fee, according to the payment options below:
ATTENTION: There are different tuition values according to the selected program.
2.1 Intermediate Program: Values WITHOUT the right to housing
* PAYPAL: R $ 600,00 (registration fee) + R $ 48,00 (administrative fee of Paypal) * – Total value for payment via Paypal: R $ 648.00. Option available to all.
2.2 Intermediate Program: Values with the right to housing
* PAYPAL: R $ 600,00 (registration fee) + R $ 100,00 (accommodation fee) + R $ 56,00 (administrative fee of Paypal) – Total value for payment via Paypal: R $ 756.00. Option available to all.
2.3. Other programs: Values WITHOUT housing rights
* PAYPAL: R $ 700,00 (registration fee) + R $ 56,00 (administrative fee of Paypal) * – Total value for payment via Paypal: R $ 756.00. Option available to all.
2.4. Other programs: Values with the right to housing
* PAYPAL: R $ 700,00 (registration fee) + R $ 100,00 (accommodation fee) + R $ 56,00 (administrative fee of Paypal) – Total value for payment via Paypal: R $ 856.00. Option available to all.
3. RULES FOR ENROLLMENT
a) If the name of the candidate is in the LIST OF CONFIRMED FOR REGISTRATION published on the official website of FEMUSC, on August 20, it must follow and observe the instructions and deadlines established to carry out the same. Selected candidates who do not register their enrollment and due payment until September 10, 2019, will be automatically disqualified, giving the opportunity to the other candidate in the Waiting List;
b) All instructions for the ENROLLMENT procedure will be available from August 20, 2019, on the FEMUSC official website;
c) Tthe enrollments will be accepted upon agreement with all the terms of this Regulation, which will be available in the enrollment system itself when it becomes effective, valid as an adhesion contract;
d) Tuition for FEMUSC 2020 does not include transfers and direct transportation for students. The cost of transportation to and from FEMUSC is the responsibility of the student. FEMUSC is responsible only for internal transportation, CAMPUS-ACCOMMODATION-INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PRESENTATIONS.
4. CANCELLATION AND RETURN OF THE FEE
Enrolment may be canceled by the participant, observing the following refund rule:
a) Cancellations up to Sep 20th, 2019: 50% refund of the registration fee, excluding the full amount of the Paypal administrative fee
b) Cancellations from Sep 21st, 2019 on: will not be entitled to the refund
c) FEMUSC will return the tuition fees up to 10 business days after the end of the festival. The return will be done through a bank deposit into a checking account or savings account
5. REGISTRATION OF PRESENCE
5.1 Participants should come to Jaraguá do Sul, SC, at their own expense, and bear all of their expenses of costing and maintaining the musical instruments used, and such expenses may not be charged to the companies / organizing bodies of FEMUSC;
5.2 All participants must register in person, having the same photo document with the number inserted in their registration form. Participants who present themselves with another document, or do not have the same document in hand, will not be able to register and will not be able to participate in FEMUSC.
5.3 Participants must register:
String Quartet, Opera Soloists and Serioso Project participants: between 1pm on January 11 and 9 am on January 12, 2020. Participants that are not registered until 9 am of January 12, 2020 will have their enrollments canceled, there will be no possibility of resorting to this cancellation of enrollment, and there will be no reimbursement of the tuition fee.
Other participants: between 8am on January 18th and 1pm on January 19th, 2020. Participants who are not registered until 1pm on January 19th, 2020 will have their registrations canceled , there will be no possibility to resort to this cancellation of enrollment, and there will be no refund of the tuition fee.
6. STAYING AT THE EVENT AND ACTIVITIES
6.1 Participants are expected to remain in Jaraguá do Sul until the end of the FEMUSC (Great Closing Concert) activities on February 1, 2020, scheduled for 20:00, with closure at 22:00. Participants who are absent from FEMUSC activities without prior authorization from FEMUSC management will have their enrollment canceled, and will not be entitled to receive the Certificate of Participation.
6.2 Participants must be present in all pedagogical and artistic activities for which FEMUSC has determined their presence. Participants with scheduling conflicts or unable to participate in any class, concert, or other activity should notify FEMUSC as soon as possible explaining the nature of the conflict, as well as their suggestion of how the conflict can be circumvented. FEMUSC will review the application and decide whether the conflict deserves any adjustment or exception, or whether the participant’s absence will be grounds for cancellation of registration and also his Certificate of Participation.
6.3 If the dispute is known before payment of the registration fee, FEMUSC recommends that the applicant cancel his / her registration, thus offering his / her place to a candidate currently on the waiting list. Participants who lack any activity of FEMUSC due to a conflict that was already known to them since before their enrollment was confirmed with the payment of the enrollment fee will have their enrollment immediately canceled, without right to reimbursement of the enrollment fee, will not receive their Certificate of Participation, and will be immediately excluded from all FEMUSC classes, concerts and activities.
6.4 In compliance with the criteria of attendance, performance and conduct, the participant will be entitled to the Certificate of Participation with details of classes, teachers, projects and workload. The Certificate will be sent in electronic format (e-mail) to the participant.
7.1 Participants under the age of 18 or who complete their 18th birthday on or after January 19, 2020, must send by e-mail a signed and notarized authorization by one of their parents or guardian, giving permission to the participant to enroll and participate in FEMUSC 2020 in all its activities. This authorization will be available on file, in FEMUSC’s own enrollment system, only for those that appear on the Select List to enroll. Failure to receive this authorization during the period established for the payment of the registration fee will result in the cancellation of the enrollment of the minor participant and his vacancy will be delivered to the next person on the waiting list. Important: The original authorization must be brought by the participant and presented with the documentation of the same when it registers in person at Femusc, until January 19, 2020. Participants who do not bring this original authorization can not register in FEMUSC, and will have their enrollment canceled.
8. PEDAGOGICAL AND ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES
8.1 The participant must attend all the concerts, concerts, orchestras or chamber music, as well as instrument classes and master classes scheduled by FEMUSC, which may take place on the main stages located in the SCAR Cultural Center or in alternative stages to be defined by the organization;
8.2 The participant must study their parts, previously, and come prepared for all the rehearsals, concerts and classes that rely on their presence and participation;
8.3 The participant must live with his colleagues and teachers in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual support;
8.4 Programming is the sole responsibility of FEMUSC and changes may occur without prior notice;
8.5 Teachers may be excluded or added without prior notice, and may be allowed to temporarily withdraw from their teaching activities, at the discretion of FEMUSC;
8.6 FEMUSC is not responsible for the consequences of any changes.
9. USE OF COMMON SPACES
9.1 No participant may invite persons not affiliated with FEMUSC to participate in classes, chamber music classes, concerts, meals, sleeping in accommodation without the express authorization of FEMUSC. The purchase of a ticket by a person to attend a concert, constitutes only authorization of FEMUSC so that it can attend that specific presentation, not characterizing authorization to attend classrooms, presentations, accommodations, etc. To do this, if necessary, the interested party should contact the FEMUSC Secretariat to obtain the necessary authorization.
9.2 The SCAR facilities and other educational facilities on the FEMUSC campus will be available only to participants, faculty, and FEMUSC administration. No participant may bring a guest to these spaces that is not involved in FEMUSC activities;
9.3 Participants who disregard these rules, as well as other common sense rules regarding good behavior and cooperation among all members of the FEMUSC family, may be expelled, at the discretion of FEMUSC;
9.4 Classrooms must be respected for this purpose, participants in the administrative areas of the educational places will not be allowed access, nor will it be allowed to use the places to sleep and / or recreate.
10. USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND RECORDINGS
10.1 The participation in FEMUSC implies the free transfer to the organization of the festival, all of its rights of voice, sound and image, that can be captured by FEMUSC or third parties in its name, to include them in any type of material support today or in the future, and FEMUSC may dispose of them, as well as extracts, extracts, or parts, giving it any use (non-remunerated), for example, to adapt it for the production of audiovisual works, for display through screen projection in public houses or in public places, with or without paid ticket, to transmit it via radio and / or television of any kind (open television or pay-TV, through all forms of signal transport, such as UHF, VHF, cable, MMDS and satellite), adapt it to any format, advertise advertisement, as well as fix it on any kind of material support such as movies (CD-ROM) CD-I (interactive compact disc), home video, DAT (digital audio tape), DVD (digital video disc) and computer graphics media in general, store it in a database , disseminate it through the Internet, via mobile phones, including for downloads, wap, sms to assign the copyrights on the work produced to third parties, for any kind of use (unpaid), to use extracts from them.
10.2 The participant hereby authorizes the use of his / her name, artistic presentations, images and voice, as well as giving free of charge the author’s patrimonial rights on the works sent, class, presentations, concerts, in all material produced during the event, allowing the use of these, without any limitation of time, exemplarily, but not limited to photos, posters, films, spots, in any medium used by the FEMUSC organization for its Marketing campaigns, including but not limited to (internet, Youtube, among others), with or without provider, including, assigning those rights to third parties.
11.1 Participants who choose to stay in FEMUSC accommodation must also comply with the following rules:
a) Accommodation will be available from 2:00 p.m. on January 18 and will be closed at 12:00 p.m. on February 2, 2020. Participants who do not remove their belongings by this time will lose their possession;
b) Participants must bring their own bed and bath items, including sheets, sub-sheets, pillows and towels. Guests who do not use bed linen will be excluded from accommodation;
c) The hours of silence in the lodgings will be from 10pm to 7am. During this period the lights will remain off. Outside these hours of silence it is allowed to play musical instruments in the lodgings;
d) Entrance to the accommodation will only be allowed up to 1h, when it will be closed and will be forbidden at the entrance, regardless of the presence or not of a guard or security at the entrance of the same;
e) Participants who are minors and who are not present in their dormitory until 11 pm will be expelled from the accommodation and FEMUSC;
f) Participants shall maintain common and reasonable standards of personal hygiene and organization;
g) Participants should respect the belongings of their colleagues, and avoid any contact with them. Guests who disrespect the property of their housing partners may be excluded from accommodation, or expelled from FEMUSC;
h) Participants should respect and support an atmosphere of healthy coexistence among all participants hosted in the accommodation;
i) The presence of males shall not be allowed in the female accommodation, and vice versa. Participants who disregard this rule will be immediately expelled from the accommodation and from FEMUSC. Participants who invite and bring a person of the opposite sex to their accommodation, or who are found in company with the same, will be expelled from the accommodation and FEMUSC;
j) No guest can invite or bring to the FEMUSC accommodation a person who is not staying in them, even if they are of the same sex or if you are a participant of FEMUSC staying in hotels;
k) It is forbidden to bring pets to the dormitories;
l) The consumption of alcoholic beverages in the accommodation is expressly prohibited, under penalty of expulsion from FEMUSC;
m) Participants visibly intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics will not be able to enter the lodgings. If they are found in this state within the housings, they will be expelled from them, as well as FEMUSC;
n) Guests who violate these rules, as well as other rules of common sense regarding good behavior and cooperation between all guests of the accommodation, may be expelled from them, and possibly also FEMUSC;
o) The participant must carry with them their objects, documents and valuables, and FEMUSC is not responsible for any damages and / or thefts that may happen inside the accommodation;
p) Participants who complete their 18 th birthday after January 18, 2019, and who choose FEMUSC accommodation as their lodging during the event, will be housed in under-age rooms and separated from their age. Underage participants will not have access to the rooms of participants of legal age, under penalty of immediate cancellation of their enrollment in FEMUSC. Underage participants may not be visited by any person in the accommodation, except for relatives and under the knowledge of the person responsible for housing, otherwise FEMUSC will be excluded;
q) It is the obligation of the participants of the FEMUSC to use the accommodation to conduct themselves properly in the lodging environment, treating other participants, employees and third parties with respect and civility, and the proper use of the accommodation facilities, and to keep them and preserve the integrity of furniture;
r) Failure to comply with these obligations implies the termination of the contract leading to the immediate expulsion of the participant from FEMUSC 2020, and FEMUSC has the right to determine the departure of the participant from the accommodation;
In addition, in the event of failure to comply with such obligations to cause material or immaterial damages to FEMUSC or to the Accommodation, the PARTICIPANT shall be obliged to indemnify, under the terms of article 186 of the Brazilian Civil Code, the impaired parties. In addition, the FEMUSC Institute reserves the right to no longer accept registrations of such offenders in its next editions;
s) You will not be allowed to walk in the rooms between the rooms and the locker room, wearing bathing suits, towels and underwear, as well as sleeping clothes that could otherwise generate discomfort to the employees of the accommodation places and / or participants . In case of noncompliance you may suffer penalty for exclusion from FEMUSC.
12.1 – Participants of FEMUSC 2020 will be entitled to food, as follows:
a) The FEMUSC Restaurant will open exclusively for the attendance of students, professors and FEMUSC organization on January 19, 2020, at 11:00 AM (for lunch) and will end on February 1, 2020 (at dinner);
b) Access to food will only be released upon presentation of the FEMUSC participant identification badge, being prohibited to non-accredited persons;
c) Avoid wasting food;
13. GENERAL TERMS
a) Participant / enrolled students who during their FEMUSC 2020 registration have canceled their enrollment due to non-compliance with the rules established here will not be entitled to receive their Certificate of Participation, they will be immediately excluded from FEMUSC housing and meals, and since then may no longer participate in classes, rehearsals, concerts and any official FEMUSC activity as a participant.
b) Participants found in possession or under the influence of illicit substances prohibited by law shall be immediately expelled from FEMUSC and handed over to the authorities. Foreign participants may be expelled from Brazil;
c) The cases not covered by this regulation will be solved by the Direction and the Organizing Committee of FEMUSC.
